Policies

Southside Christian Academy is not a corrective institution; consequently, we ask that a child not be enrolled with the idea that we will reform her/him.  We are here to work with the home, not to take the place of parents who have experienced difficulty in fulfilling their roles.

Southside Christian Academy does not currently have the facilities or staff to successfully instruct students with learning disabilities that require special education services.  Students with learning challenges will be evaluated to see if their need can be met by SCA.

Students are expected to conduct themselves in a Christian manner at all times.  If your child has concerns about a policy or discipline, please follow this procedure:

  1. Give the school or staff the benefit of the doubt.

  2. Realize that your child's reporting is emotionally biased and may not include all of the information.

  3. Realize that there are reasons for all rules and that they are enforced without partiality.

  4. Support the administration and communicate with the teacher for all of the facts.
